Hand built in Deborah’s courtyard studio, this one off piece was made using high quality stoneware sculpting clay and several building techniques. After the body is created I make the stopper style lid, which fits inside the urn with a perching bird in a gold crown.

Two tiny curves on the the main body enable you to add candles if you so wish, a time contemplate your loved ones memory.

Deborah has used several glazes in shades of blue, green and oat to achieve a flowing feel to the surface. Finished, with one third firing adding 24 carat gold lustre and mother of pearl lustre to the lid.
